Little Heroes Swim Academy is a not-for-profit swim school dedicated to educating families about the aquatic environment. Andrew (Boy) Charlton Pool and LHSA work together to provide subsidised lessons for children with a disability. Our passion for drowning prevention has forged our program philosophy of first teaching how not to drown, and then how to swim.
Andrew (Boy) Chalrton Pool & LHSA promotes an inclusive learning environment where ALL students learn side-by-side and interaction is absolutely encouraged.
Lessons for Children with a Disability are initially one-on-one. Students are only paired up with a "buddy" if staff and parents/guardians feel this would benefit each child's learning.
Our instructors are SA Teacher of Learner with a Disability qualified and also exclusively trained in-house, we aim to have them ready to tackle students with additional needs of any capacity. Physical and/or intellectual disabilities, behavioural issues, trauma and anxiety - our patient and engaging staff are eager to educate, whichever stage of swimming your child may be up to.
